Since its opening in January 2019, the public library has been a welcome addition to the picturesque landscape of Sentosa, providing visitors with an idyllic atmosphere in which to explore its vast array of resources.

Boasting a vast assortment of over 200,000 volumes, the library stands as a haven of literacy and knowledge for all Singaporeans. It offers a delightful and enriching experience, as a destination of exploration and learning.

This locale has been conceptualized to encompass two disparate areas – one for adults and adolescents, and the other for youngsters.

These two areas offer optimal spaces and advanced amenities tailored to the specialized reading and educational requirements of each group.

The Children’s Zone is an area dedicated to young readers, where the latest technology is employed to facilitate learning. Notably, it is home to the world’s first ‘Tinker Truck maker space, designed for three to nine-year-old children. This revolutionary facility provides an unprecedented opportunity for creative exploration.

The makerspace aspires to cultivate creativity and foster problem-solving aptitude among children through hands-on learning materials, crafting, and puzzles. By employing a dynamic, experiential approach, the maker space encourages children to explore and develop their knowledge in a stimulating environment.

At The Children’s Zone, visitors are treated to an immersive experience with Augmented Reality books that bring stories to life. These next-gen publications combine literature with cutting-edge technology, allowing readers to delve into a fantastical world of characters, creatures, and settings. An unprecedented level of interactivity and engagement awaits, providing an unparalleled interactive narrative experience.

The Adults’ and Teens’ Zone is managed by dedicated volunteers, providing a dynamic environment to facilitate programs that bolster digital acumen and promote lifelong learning.

Patrons of all ages may take advantage of the expansive reading spaces available, such as the Newspaper Reading Area and Reading Lounge. These areas provide a comfortable setting for readers to engage with their chosen material.

In the Newspaper Reading Area at Sentosa, visitors can take in the splendid panorama while perusing their favorite publications. Additionally, the area boasts sixteen eNewspaper reading stations.

Peruse volumes from book displays and then settle in with one at the Reading Lounge, boasting approximately 120 comfortable seats.

Families can bond over the joy of reading in the Children’s Area, an area stocked with Early Literacy collections for pre-schoolers aged 6 and younger, along with books for the more mature readers aged 7 to 12.

The library has finally opened its Programme Zone, where visitors can engage in a plethora of activities, such as storytelling, lectures, and much more. Here, individuals of all ages can discover new experiences and expand their horizons.

When not engaged in other activities, this convertible space can be utilized as a reading and study area that can accommodate up to one hundred individuals. It offers an ideal atmosphere for scholarly pursuits.
